02.03.2010 Exhibitor rush for places at the International Suppliers Center

With each successive ILA the International Suppliers Center (ISC) continues to grow. Currently it is able to report the highest number of bookings from the components and supply industry since being introduced in 2006. Conceived as a fair within a fair, this section at the worlds longest running aerospace show has now already taken bookings from 60 per cent more exhibitors than in 2008. Approximately 250 companies from 16 countries (ILA 2008: 146 from 9 countries) will be exhibiting their products and services in an area covering 5,000 square metres in Hall 11 on the southern section of Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. About half of the exhibitors are from abroad. This is the first time that companies from Belgium, Finland, India, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan and Tunisia will be represented. In marked contrast to ILA 2008, associations representing the supply industry have expressed a much greater degree of interest. In addition to a larger number of national bodies, associations from Canada, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Tunisia and the UK will also be represented at the ISC.

Against the backdrop of a worldwide trend towards globalisation and rationalisation of supplier chains, the ISC provides all international component manufacturers supplying the aerospace and defence markets with an outstanding platform for demonstrating their technological expertise, and an opportunity for networking and meeting companies and their decision-makers from around the world. The fact that the event is an integral part of the ILA gives the supply industry an ideal opportunity to meet all the leading international companies exhibiting there as well as the vast number of trade visitors from around the world (ILA 2008: 120,000).

ILA 2010 will take place from 8 to 13 June. The first three days of the show (8 to 10 June) are reserved exclusively for trade visitors. The ISC at the ILA will only be open on these three days.

At the same time exhibitors at the ISC will have an opportunity to put their products and services on display.
