30.04.2014 Russian Helicopters changing the face of Russia’s helicopter industry
Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, discussed a broad range of issues to do with restructuring and upgrading its production capacities and streamlining its management processes at a meeting of the company’s Collegium on 24 April. The Collegium – held at Kazan Helicopters, a Russian Helicopters company – also discussed the production efficiency of Russia’s helicopter-construction sector today and its future development.
30.04.2014 Russian Helicopters deliver Ka-32A11BC to Shanghai
Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, has delivered its civilian multirole Ka-32A11BC helicopter to the Shanghai Public Security Directorate in China. The helicopter is produced at Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise and the contract for this helicopter was concluded in 2012.

In response to the announcement that the F-35 Lighting II aircraft will be flying at the Farnborough International Airshow, Amanda Stainer, Commercial Director for show organisers Farnborough International Ltd said, ‘We are delighted that the news has now been confirmed after weeks of speculation. 05.03.2014 Russian Helicopters deliver Mi-8AMT to UTair
Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, has delivered a Mi-8AMT helicopter (also known as the Mi-171 for the foreign markets) to the Russian company UTair Aviation. The delivery took place under a contract signed in 2011 between Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, a Russian Helicopters company, and UTair Aviation.

06.02.2014 Russian Helicopters' role in XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi
Helicopters manufactured by Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, will play an active role in providing security at the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, which run from 7-23 February, and at the 2014 XI Paralympic Winter Games from 7-16 March. Helicopters will be used by the Russian Interior Ministry, the Federal Security Service, and the Russian Emergencies Ministry to monitor, carry out patrols, and provide security at the Games. If needed, they will be used for medevac and search and rescue operations.
28.01.2014 Ka-32 service and maintenance centre opens in the Republic of Korea
The Korea Forest Service has formally opened a new service and maintenance centre for Ka-32 helicopters manufactured by Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec. Representatives of Russian Helicopters took part in the opening ceremony for the centre, which will promote the use of Ka-32 helicopters in the Republic of Korea and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region and reduce waiting times for maintenance and repair of these helicopters.
03.01.2014 Ka-32A11BC rescues passengers from Akademik Shokalskiy ship trapped in Antarctic sea ice
A Ka-32A11BC helicopter built by Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, played a key role in evacuating passengers from the Akademik Shokalskiy research vessel. On January 2 the helicopter, based on the Chinese icebreaker Xue Long, successfully completed an operation to evacuate passengers from the ship, which had been trapped in sea ice about 1,500 nautical miles from the coast of Australia since December 24th.
27.12.2013 Mi-28N Night Hunter helicopter enters into service with the Russian Defence Ministry
The Mi-28N Night Hunter combat helicopter, made by Russian Helicopters a subsidiary of Oboronprom and part of State Corporation Rostec, has officially entered into service with the Russian Defence Ministry under an order signed by Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. Before officially entering into service, the Mi-28N Night Hunter helicopter was operated by the Russian Armed Forces for several years.

The 2013 year had some significant moments for Russian Helicopters. First prototypes of Mi-171A2, Ka-62 and long-awaited Mi-38 with Russian engines were reviled. Light helicopter Ansat passed certification. We’ve successfully participated at many outstanding exhibitions such as HeliRussia, Heli-Expo, Le Bourget Airshow and MAKS 2013. It was a pleasure to see many of you in person.
Financial statistics and helicopter deliveries are climbing steadily. This year we made #24 in Defence News Top 100 - a 32 percent spike.
17.12.2013 Mi-38 with Russian TV7-117V engines makes first flight
Russian Helicopters and United Engine Corporation (UEC), subsidiaries of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, announce the successful start of testing of the third prototype Mi-38 helicopter fitted with Russian-built TV7-117V engines. The new engines have been specially developed for the new transport and passenger helicopter by Klimov, a UEC company.

Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, announces that four Mi-171E transport helicopters have been delivered to Poly Technologies under a contract signed in 2012 by the Chinese company and Rosoboronexport.
